Company History

2 Men and a shop, started as two men working out of their garages.  Dan Rhiley and Harry White joined and opened up a two bay shop in downtown Bennington, Nebraska in December 2000.  Together they had approximately 132 clients.  This shop was to provide supplemental income for their families.  Their shop was open weekdays from 5 P. M. to 11 P. M. and Saturday’s from 8 A.M. to 6 P.M. as they accumulated more equipment and more business, they decided to expand and lease a new and bigger building.

In October of 2001, 2 Men and a Shop became incorporated and planned to move to their new location just outside the city limits of Bennington.  In January 2002 they took along their 450 accumulative customer base to start on their full-time business adventure.  Since Dan and Harry’s schools and experience relied significantly, over the combined 32 years, in Toyota and Lexus, they decided to specialize in these vehicles and become Omaha’s first alternative Lexus/Toyota repair facility.  Hours of operation were established as Monday through Thursday 7 A.M. to 7 P. M., Fridays 7 A. M. to 6 P.M.  After their first month, there was enough business to hire their first employee.  Currently there are three line technicians and two hourly technicians.

Dan and Harry contribute their success in business to the trust their customer have in them.  They take pride in the quality of work. The ability to supply quality parts at a competitive price, and the continued training they provide their technicians, which gives them the ability to keep up with an ever-changing automotive industry.  Their motto became “Your Trust is Our Reputation.”

Today 2 Men and a Shop has a 7,958 customer-base, service 5,807 customer vehicles, which 49 percent of these vehicles make up the Lexus/Toyota models.

2 Men and a Shop’s success is due largely to our whole team spirit of “U-Betcha, we can do that/or fix that. Everyone at 2 Men enjoys their job and their work atmosphere.  We all have the same goal, to satisfy the customer so they will return to our business.

In the spring of 2003, 2 Men Auto Sales opened, after many customers requested Dan and Harry to provide some good quality used vehicles to purchase.
